Earthquake Day Walkathon March

NIPS on 16th January, 2010, on the occasion of Earthquake Day, organized Earthquake Day Walkathon March from Maitighar Mandala, Maitighar to Bhugol Park, New Road. The March was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Fatta Bahadur KC, Chairman, Beema Samiti

AGM Concluded

The 7th and 8th Annual General Meeting of NIPS has been concluded on 16th April, 2010. The programme was attended by NIPS Members.

The Annual report was presented by Mr. Bikrant Pandey, General Secretary and the Financial Report was presented by Mr. Binesh Maskey, Treasurer.

This Meeting also elected new Executive Committee for another them. The Committee Members are:

After AGM, the programme was followed by Cocktail Dinner where many NIPS Members enjoyed the evening.

Discussion on Current Market Issues & Future Challenges

NIPS on 18th June, 2010 conducted Workshop on "Discussion on Current Market Issues & Future Challenges" in support of Nepal Insurers' Association and sponsored by J. B. Boda Group, Mumbai. All the executives from 17 General Insurance Companies were present in the Workshop.

Insurance in Budget 2010/11

"Due to mandatory requirement of the Third Party Insurance Scheme, from 17 August 2009 of the current Fiscal Year, traffic movement across the country has eased considerably due to reduction in the tendencies of road blockade and damaging of vehicles. This has a positive contribution to the economy. This shows that a lot can be achieved just by the policy announcement of the Government".
